John Sevier Chapter

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA

This year’s nationwide remembrance ceremony will take place on December 11, 2010 at 12 noon EST. The John Sevier Chapter TNSSAR will be involved not only in encouraging the purchase of wreaths but also in the ceremony itself. This is a very impressive ceremony recognizing the sacrifices of our veterans over the years.

In 2009, 160,000 volunteers placed wreaths at 500+ locations all around the Country. Wreaths continue to be placed at Arlington, but now the largest wreath-laying ceremony is conducted at Houston National Cemetery. Ceremonies were also conducted at the site of the 9/11 attacks, a national cemeteries on foreign soil, and ceremonies on the open sea.

Last year there were 1042 wreaths placed at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Join us and many other patriotic and veteran organizations in adding even more wreaths this year.

For more information you can go to the following website. When purchasing wreaths please use the attached form so that correct information is provided for the shipping of wreaths to the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
